1 Corinthians 13:4-8,  New International Version (NIV)

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails.”

Weddings at First Congregational Church

Our pastor believes that marriage is a Holy covenant between God and a man and woman.  It is important that the number one love in a couple’s life is for Jesus Christ and to dedicate themselves to Him.  Counseling is an important step in preparing for a marriage, so Pastor Tice has numerous counseling sessions with each couple that he does a marriage ceremony for.  He believes that a couple must be prepared for the blessings and for the trials that come with a marriage sanctified by God.  Love must bind them together.

We have a wedding coordinator who helps the couple with the details involved in a marriage ceremony here at our Church.  She will help them organize where the wedding participants should be and at what time they need to be in a certain place.  She will offer suggestions on decorations for the Sanctuary if needed.  She is there for you and to help you if she can.

Our Sanctuary is one of the most beautiful traditional Church settings in Kokomo.  The focal point of our Sanctuary is a beautiful wooden altar and a huge wooden cross that hangs above it to remind us of the price that Jesus paid for each one of us.  There are also Chrismons which adorn both sides of the altar.
